Your privacy is taken very seriously at IVONNE. Our closed application system segregates applicant data from our main client contact pool and stores it in a dedicated, secure database. Unlike open job boards or public platforms where your details may be visible to third parties, your application and availability at IVONNE cannot be accessed by your current employer—or by anyone outside our leadership team.

When you apply directly through the careers form on ivonne.ca, your resume and application are reviewed only by IVONNE owners, leadership, or designated hiring manager. Applications are not routed to reception or general staff. Unless a posting specifically redirects you to an external link, your answers remain fully confidential and contained within IVONNE's system.

IVONNE adheres to all applicable privacy regulations, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and its 10 Fair Information Principles. For full details on how we handle your information, please review our Privacy Policy.

As a boutique clinic, our hiring process is personal and confidential. Applications are reviewed directly by the owners or leadership team, and if your qualifications align with our needs, we will reach out to arrange an interview. As a small boutique clinic with fewer than 25 team members, we may not always be able to provide a formal response to every application. That said, every submission is given careful consideration, and we truly appreciate the time and effort you’ve taken to apply.

We welcome applications from individuals who are legally eligible to work in Ontario and whose skills align with our available roles. It is important to note, however, that IVONNE is a boutique cosmetic clinic and not a medical residency or bridging program.

Unless otherwise indicated, IVONNE does not perform controlled acts and we generally do not hire regulated healthcare professionals. The exception is for specific roles, such as Registered Nurse Practitioners, which are directly tied to our scope of services.

Internationally trained physicians or specialists are not eligible to be hired as physicians at IVONNE, as practicing medicine in Ontario requires licensing through the appropriate provincial regulatory bodies. Entry-level or support roles at IVONNE should not be considered a pathway toward medical licensure in Canada.

To learn more about becoming a regulated healthcare professional in Ontario:

A medical aesthetician is a professional who provides cosmetic skin services such as facials, chemical peels, microneedling, and laser rejuvenation. Unlike physicians, nurses, or dentists, medical aestheticians do not report to a regulatory college. Instead, they are regulated directly by local Public Health Units under Ontario’s Personal Service Settings framework.

Other providers who fall under this same category include estheticians, nail technicians, hairstylists, barbers, and cosmetic tattoo artists. All of these services are inspected and enforced by municipal Public Health Units, which set infection prevention, sanitation, and client safety requirements.

Oversight and Regulations: Medical aestheticians in Ontario must follow:

  • Personal Service Settings Regulation (Ontario Regulation 136/18): Requires adherence to infection prevention and control practices, routine inspections, and compliance with the Health Protection and Promotion Act.
  • Privacy laws: Clinics must comply with PIPEDA (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act) and, where health information is collected, PHIPA (Personal Health Information Protection Act).
  • Consumer Protection: Ontario’s Consumer Protection Act, 2002 applies to ensure fair contracts, transparent pricing, and honest advertising.

Scope of Practice: Medical aestheticians provide services within the limits of Personal Service Settings regulations. Procedures that qualify as controlled acts under Ontario law (such as injections, prescriptions, or medical diagnoses) are reserved exclusively for regulated health professionals and are not performed independently by aestheticians.

If you are looking at how to become a Medical Aesthetician in Ontario, consider taking a program at your local community college or private career college. Additional training opportunities are also available through medical device manufacturers and cosmetic product suppliers, which offer both single-skill certifications and ongoing education.

In summary: Medical aestheticians in Ontario operate under the direct authority of local Public Health Units, not a regulatory college. They must follow strict infection-control rules, privacy protections, and consumer laws, and they practice only within the boundaries set by regulation.
